Levi's Fashion Statements

I had assumed since Levi is a boy he wouldn't care for dress-up. I was wrong. He doesn't get into all the pretty things the girls like, instead he's found his own style.

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Our Valentine's Day wasn't romantic. It was better, it was filled with people we love!

The Cadayongs came to visit.

All the kiddos received their traditional box of chocolates in our mail box.

We visited the Russel Stover Chocolate Factory.

...and we ended the evening with a cheese and a chocolate fondue.

Did you know it's a Swiss tradition if a man drops his bread in the cheese fondue he has to buy a beer for all in the room? If a woman drops it she has to give a kiss to all the men in the room. Next year I think we'll adopt that tradition using root beer and Hershey kisses!

January is almost over?!

Can this little guy get any cuter?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A rundown of January...

I finally let in, and we splurged on Rock Band World Tour. Derren said it will be for his business. I have a hunch there will be hours spent on it in our home.

Terelle and her family stayed with us overnight.

Katey and Alyssa were Rededicated into Girl Scouting.

Alyssa lost ANOTHER tooth! The tooth fairy sent her on a treasure hunt to find her money. Her final destination was Levi's crib, and he was holding her treasure!

We took an unexpected trip to Boulder this month, because Great-Grandma Rayback passed away. The girls were able to say good-bye by singing, "You Are My Sunshine" at her funeral.

We stayed at Great-Grandpa and Grandma Cox's house.
The girls learned very quickly which chair is worth fighting for. Grandpa's!

Don't let the picture fool you, Levi really did have a lot of fun there. And yes Grandpa, we know you really do miss him (wink!).

We stayed at the Cadayongs'. This is the first time in years that the girls have been able to play with all of their cousins in the same month.

Aunt Andrea and her cute little nephews went to the Denver Stock Show with us.

We were able to see Grandpa Cox the day after he came home from Columbia.

And now, we're home!!!!

Secret Sister Jar

I thought I would share a little invention that has done wonders in our house.
Lately the sibling rivalry has gotten a little out of hand. After a lot of prayer and thought I came up with our solution... the Secret Sister Jar. Each week the girls get to pick one piece of paper out of the jar. The paper will say something like; "Ask Mom to drive you to the grocery store, give you $, and let you go into the store with your sister to buy donuts all by yourselves (while I wait by the front door, of course)," "Make your sister a glass of freshly squeezed juice," "Ask Mom and Dad if you can have a sister-sleepover this weekend..." Get the picture? So far it's worked like a charm. The girls are so excited about it they have been creating their own little surprises on the side.
